Pro Program Terms

Version: of-pro-terms-v8 · Formerly the Writer Program Terms

Risk-adjusted profits apply. All net profits may grow your trading balance. Only eligible profits count toward passing and payouts, and you receive 80% of an approved eligible-profit withdrawal. Read the calculation, minimum earning days and loss limits below before purchasing.

These terms apply to the Pro plan selected at checkout. Accepting the Terms checkbox accepts these program terms for that purchase. Existing accounts retain their purchased prices and other terms. This funded benefit also applies to existing Pro accounts. Your accepted prices and evaluation terms stay the same.

1. Program and eligible profit

Pro has one evaluation followed, on qualification and activation, by a simulated funded account. Buying and selling supported options are permitted, including long calls and puts, debit and credit spreads, and supported uncovered option sales. Contract size, settlement and deliverable must be supported and verified. This program does not create a customer trading deposit or ownership interest in firm capital.

All net trading profits remain in the trading balance and may increase buying power. Evaluation qualification and funded payouts use a separate risk-adjusted eligible-profit balance. A profitable round may earn less eligible profit than its net trading profit, or none. The part that does not qualify is not restored to eligible profit later merely because the account grows or a payout cycle changes.

Pro has no automatic move to Live, no automatic account closure after a payout milestone and no lifetime payout count limit. The account must continue to satisfy its loss limits and these terms.

2. Fees and billing

The monthly evaluation list prices are $499 for 25K, $999 for 50K and $2,999 for 100K. Eligible sales, coupon codes and ordinary quantity discounts follow the same pricing rules used for Growth and Express. Pro has no separate maximum discount percentage or automatic minimum discount. The checkout shows the first charge and the renewal amount before purchase. Offer eligibility, combinations and duration follow the applied offer terms. Dial Boost rewards and bonus/free-account promotions do not apply to Pro.

The applied offer determines whether a discount covers the first charge, continues on renewals or changes to a stated renewal amount. The amounts shown and accepted at checkout govern that evaluation subscription. Earlier purchases keep their own accepted renewal terms, including any previously promised locked rate. Evaluation billing ends when the funded account is activated or the evaluation fails. A healthy renewal does not reset trading progress. Cancellation remains available under the applicable billing terms. A later, separate evaluation purchase uses the price accepted at its own checkout.

There is no funded activation fee, funded subscription fee, initial-fee refund on payout, automatic purchase of a replacement evaluation or free account reset. After failure, a new evaluation is a separate purchase.

3. Account limits

25K: the evaluation target is $1,500 of eligible profit, the evaluation trailing loss allowance is $1,500 and the evaluation daily loss pause is $500. The funded trailing loss allowance is $750 and the funded daily loss pause is $375.

50K: the evaluation target is $3,000 of eligible profit, the evaluation trailing loss allowance is $3,000 and the evaluation daily loss pause is $1,000. The funded trailing loss allowance is $1,500 and the funded daily loss pause is $750.

100K: the evaluation target is $6,000 of eligible profit, the evaluation trailing loss allowance is $6,000 and the evaluation daily loss pause is $2,000. The funded trailing loss allowance is $3,000 and the funded daily loss pause is $1,500.

During evaluation, the loss floor follows the highest end-of-day performance equity without a lock. In funded, the trading-performance loss floor stops moving up after the second payout is actually paid. For that second paid payout, the platform uses the existing loss floor saved when its payout request was verified, rather than a later end-of-day high reached while payment was pending. The request must pass the normal account, risk and payout checks. A pending, approved, cancelled or rejected request does not itself activate the lock; the normal trailing rule continues until payment. The lock does not revive an account that has already breached.

After the funded floor locks, further trading profits can build additional loss room. The initial dollar loss allowance used in the eligible-profit calculation remains fixed. Non-trading cash movements stay neutral: a gross payout and its reversal adjust the cash balance and corresponding cash loss floor consistently, rather than counting as trading profit or loss. The displayed cash floor can therefore adjust for withdrawals even though trading profits no longer push the saved trading-performance floor upward. A later payout reversal does not remove or raise an already granted lock.

Breaching the maximum loss limit fails the account. Reaching a daily loss limit pauses trading until the next trading day; that daily pause alone does not fail the account. Standard instrument trading hours, settlement and expiry rules continue to apply.

4. Risk adjustment and earning days

A round begins when an account with no open positions opens a position, and ends only when all its positions are closed. All legs, additions and partial closes belong to that round until the account is fully flat. A round spanning multiple New York dates earns its credit or loss on the date it ends. Partial closes do not create separate completed rounds or earning days.

Round net profit is realized trading profit less trading fees, excluding deposits, withdrawals and other non-trading transfers. For a profitable round, eligible profit equals the greater of zero and its net profit minus its risk adjustment. A losing round reduces eligible profit by its full net loss. A profitable round earning zero eligible profit does not create an additional negative risk charge. Actual losing rounds may leave a negative eligible balance, which later eligible profits must recover before a payout; this is not a separate amount payable by the trader to the company.

The risk adjustment is 8 multiplied by Q divided by D, rounded upward to a cent. D is the initial dollar trailing loss allowance for the account phase, fixed even if the account grows. Q is the sum, over the round's atomic fill groups, of positive increases in squared total assessed portfolio risk. For each fill group its contribution is max(0, R_after squared minus min(R_before squared, R_close squared)). R_close is the assessed portfolio risk after applying only that fill group's closing legs. This records fresh risk in a replacement or roll even when its final size matches the previous position. Closing positions does not refund a risk adjustment already accumulated in the round.

For a finite-loss portfolio group, assessed risk uses the true maximum expiry loss, including remaining entry premiums and allocated entry fees, over zero, all strikes and the upper payoff tail. Legs offset only within the same verified underlying, expiry, settlement and deliverable group. Loss amounts across separate groups add together. For an unlimited-loss uncovered short-call group, the published stress upper price is the greater of twice the verified underlying reference price or that price plus the highest short-call strike. This stress amount does not limit the possible loss on an uncovered call. A fresh verified reference is required when new short risk is added, and the retained reference of an open group may increase but cannot decrease. Stop orders do not define maximum loss. Missing or unsupported evidence prevents qualification until verified and is never treated as zero risk.

Both evaluation and every funded payout cycle require at least five positive eligible-profit completion days. The largest positive eligible-profit day may be no more than 20% of net eligible profit in that phase or payout cycle. Daily credit is the sum of all round credits and losses completed on that New York date; negative days reduce the net total. Days need not be consecutive. Five is a minimum, not a promise that any five profitable days qualify. The evaluation must also reach its eligible-profit target in Section 3.

5. Funded payouts

The trader receives 80% of an approved gross withdrawal of eligible profit. The approved gross amount is deducted from both the trading balance and the unused eligible-profit balance. A withdrawal cannot exceed unused eligible profit, 50% of remaining raw account profit above the original starting balance, the applicable cap, available settled cash or the amount permitted by the account loss floor. A negative eligible balance must be recovered first.

Gross withdrawal minimums are $500 on 25K, $1,000 on 50K and $2,000 on 100K. The first four gross caps are $500/$750/$1,000/$1,500 for 25K; $1,000/$1,500/$2,000/$3,000 for 50K; and $2,000/$3,000/$4,000/$6,000 for 100K. The fourth cap repeats on later payouts. The cap is a maximum, not a guaranteed payment. No activation-fee refund is added.

The account must be fully flat and its risk and profit records verified before a payout. The five-day and 20% consistency test applies to new eligible profit in the current funded payout cycle. Only an actually paid payout starts a new consistency cycle. Its verified request snapshot defines the boundary, preserving any later trading. A pending, approved, cancelled or rejected request does not itself reset the cycle, the lifetime credit balance or recorded gross withdrawals. Identity verification, settlement and other applicable payout requirements continue to apply.

6. Scope and acceptance

These Pro terms govern the described fees, eligible-profit calculation, evaluation, loss limits and simulated funded payouts for the identified account. Earlier accepted documents remain unchanged. The second-paid funded floor-lock benefit described in Section 3 is also separately granted to existing Pro accounts, without changing their accepted prices, evaluation requirements or eligible-profit calculation. The generally applicable Terms of Service continue to govern matters not specified here. Passing, earning eligible profit and receiving a payout are not guaranteed. Preparing or displaying an unsigned review draft does not activate an account or enroll a trader; acceptance must occur through the company's approved process.

Pro was previously named Writer, and both names refer to the same program. Any reference to Writer, the Writer Program Terms, a Writer plan or a Writer account, in an earlier accepted version of these terms or in any checkout, receipt, email or account record, including plan and account identifiers that begin with "writer", means Pro, the Pro Program Terms version accepted for that account, the Pro plan or the Pro account. The change of name alone does not change any price, rule, right or obligation accepted under an earlier version.
